Herd Manager job in Aberdeenshire

Our family run dairy farm has a new farm job vacancy. We are located approximately 20 miles west of Aberdeen in Scotland. In addition to managing a thriving farm shop and an ice cream production unit using our cows’ milk, we are proud suppliers to a well known supermarket. We are proudly adhering strictly to the highest standards of hygiene, animal welfare, and overall farm management.

Our herd consists of 100+ pedigree Holstein Friesian cows, which graze outdoors in the summer and are housed in straw courts during the winter. Employing sexed semen for artificial insemination, we maintain a year-round calving schedule.

We are currently seeking a motivated and capable individual to join our small team and contribute to the efficient operation and ongoing development of our farm. While the primary focus will be on milking and dairy-related tasks, the chosen candidate will also actively participate in the day-to-day responsibilities of farm operations throughout the year.

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance for everyone involved is a key priority of ours. We provide 28 days holiday, a regular working schedule with overtime available. We also run employee bonuses, employee of the month and regular training. We like to invest in our employees and promote regularly when possible.

The position is available for an immediate start. You must be able to drive as public transport doesn’t reach our area.
