Dairy Assistant job in Devon

We’re a dairy farm near Barnstaple looking for someone reliable to come and help with the day-to-day running of the herd.

The role mainly involves milking, feeding, bedding and helping keep things running smoothly around the dairy unit. We’ve got a good routine in place and are looking for someone who can fit into the team and take pride in doing the job properly.

Main duties will include:

  • Milking and parlour routines
  • Feeding and bedding cattle
  • Assisting with calving
  • Yard scraping and cleaning
  • Monitoring cow health
  • General farm duties

Previous dairy experience is preferred, but if you’ve worked with livestock before and are willing to learn, we’re happy to train the right person.

Weekend work included on a rota basis.
