Arable Farm Manager job in Norfolk
A large-scale arable enterprise in Norfolk is seeking an experienced Arable Farm Manager to take full responsibility for crop production across a substantial acreage. This is a senior role overseeing the planning and execution of all field operations, including drilling, spraying, irrigation, fertiliser application and harvest logistics. The business grows a range of crops including cereals, oilseed rape and root crops, with a strong focus on yield optimisation and sustainable practices.
You will be responsible for managing a team of operators and seasonal staff, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The role includes overseeing machinery use and maintenance, working with agronomists on crop planning and protection strategies, and implementing precision farming techniques where possible. Strong experience with GPS-guided machinery and modern farm technology would be highly advantageous.
From a management perspective, you will handle budgeting, input cost control, record keeping and compliance, ensuring the farm meets all regulatory requirements. This is a role suited to someone who is both practical and commercially aware, capable of making decisions that improve productivity and profitability.

Requirements
- Proven experience in arable farming (ideally 5+ years in a senior role)
- Strong knowledge of crop production (cereals, OSR, root crops)
- Experience operating and managing modern agricultural machinery
- PA1/PA2/PA4 spraying certificates (preferred)
- Experience with GPS/precision farming systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Good understanding of farm compliance and record keeping
